My Rose Obsession

I have been obsessed with roses for many years. To me they smell sophisticated, classic, and feminine. Roses always lift my mood and because of the I can’t help but buying rose infused products. I have owned many products with roses, but to not dull you to tears I will only post the one’s I currently have.

Fragrances are my favorite rose scented products to buy because the scent lasts most of the day making it the best for my rose to joy ratio. My favorite fragrances that I currently own are Chloé’s Roses de Chloé ($70) and L’occitane’s Roses et Reines Eau de Toilette Intense ($22). When I first heard Chloé was releasing a rose scented fragrance I thought I died and went to heaven. Being the obsessive person I am I took note of the release date and was probably one of the first to buy the product. There was no way I was going to let it go out of stock before I purchased it. I also really like L’occitane’s fragrance, I purchased the roll on version so I would have a good travel friendly perfume. I don’t like it as much as Roses de Chloé, but it is excellent for on-the-go application.

A few years ago Dior’s Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm ($28) blew up on Youtube. It felt like every Beauty Youtuber was mentioning it in their videos, so of course I had to buy it myself. This is an excellent lip balm, whenever I use it at night I can still feel it on my lips when I wakeup in the morning, which isn’t something I can say for any other lip balm I’ve tried. It is very moisturizing and has a wonderful scent, but it has a steep price tag. I really can’t justify repurchasing it regularly so I tend to use it sparingly and not too often.

I own about a thousand hand creams, but when I see a rose scented one I buy it no questions asked. The one I love the most is L’occitane’s Roses et Reines Hand & Nail Cream ($12). This is the same scent as the roll on fragrance I mentioned above. I think L’occitane makes some of the best hand creams on the market and I love that they have the small 30ml hand creams that are perfect to put in a handbag. I can assure you that I will buy this hand cream over and over again.

Lastly I have a few rose scented candles, because not only can I smell of roses but my room can too! My two favorites are Yankee Candle’s True Rose ($27.99) and Diptyque’s Roses ($60). Both smell excellent, but I think Diptyque is worth the splurge because the scent is more authentic.

Since I’m being honest I actually own even more rose scented products than listed above, but the products I listed are the one’s I recommend to the non rose obsessive people in the world because they really are excellent products to look into and they will bring joy to your life no matter the amount of your rose obsession. And to my fellow rose obsessives, do I really need to direct you to even more rose scented products? If I do, I’m happy to oblige; but until then this is where I leave you on the road down my rose obsessive ways.
