Once again I went shopping, I purchased items from Sephora, Loccitane, and Lush. I ended up spending entirely too much money, but as always I wish I could have purchased more.
At Sephora I purchased another YSL Toche Éclat in shade 2 Luminous Ivory, which is a great product to pick up if you are looking for a highlighter. If you are interested in seeing how to use this product check out this video.
I also purchased Philosophy’s Oxygen Peel, which was pointed out to me by one of the saleswomen, who showed me how it works. The set comes with 2 products, a mixing cup, and a spatula; one of the products is a powder in a capsule and the other is a cream. You take the capsule and break it apart in the mixing cup and mix it with warm water, which creates a gel. You apply the gel all over your face then add the cream on top, then you let this sit for 1-3 minutes. The saleswoman did this process on the back of my hand and you could clearly see the area where the product was applied, it was visibly clearer and brighter. The process feels like something you would do in Chemistry class and does take some time and effort, but from the obvious results on my hand I’m really excited to try this on my face.
As anyone who has ever gone to Sephora knows, right before the checkout counter there is The Shopping Isle of Doom (that I always get sucked into). And as per usual I left with an extra product that I didn’t really need but am still excited for. I ended up buying the mini Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil in Sweet Citrus. Earlier when I was walking around the store I happened upon the larger version of this product (which is a whopping $35), and fell in love with the smell and the texture, but since I had already spent too much money I decided to walk away, until I found myself in The Shopping Isle of Doom and found the $12 version that seemed like a more reasonable investment. Hopefully I will actually use this product, though I’ve never finished one similar to it before. I’m crossing my fingers (who knows maybe I’ve changed).
While shopping I also popped into Loccitane. Where I added yet another hand cream to my collection and the matching rollerball perfume. I went with the Roses et Reines scent, which smells absolutely divine and also feeds my rose obsession. If you’ve never tried out Loccitane products, they make excellent skin and body care products, and their hand creams are some of my favorites.
Last but not least I went to Lush. I tend to buy my shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a few facial masks there; but today I only picked up a bath bomb. I went with Twilight, because it smells like lavender and is supposed to promote relaxation and sleepiness (which I need bundles of). So hopefully it delivers, but at the very least it will make for a luxurious bath experience.
I had a great time shopping today, and hopefully I’ve purchased some winners. If I really love or hate a product I will do an additional post after I’ve put it to the test.
